Emerald is found in the weathered pegmatites at Nasarawa Eggon, however the produced quantities of emerald from this deposit are limited. Nigerian emeralds tend to be lighter in color with excellent clarity, and often have a blue-green hue as pictured here. This cluster features highly transparent parallel grown crystals with stepped, flat termination faces.
